United Methodist Women

United Methodist Women is a national connection of United Methodist women who are committed to “fostering spiritual growth, developing leaders, and advocating for justice.”  The United Methodist Women here at FUMCE are a vital part of our congregation.  Women of all ages are welcome to get connected through checking out any of our four different UMW Circles.  Circle Groups meet monthly for bible study and fellowship in various UMW homes.

Here is a list of the Circle Groups and when they meet:

Elizabeth Circle: 2nd Wednesday @ 9:30am

Hannah Circle (Meets at church): 3rd Tuesday @ 9:30am

Leah Circle: 2nd Monday @ 6:30pm

Susanna Circle: 2nd Thursday @ 6:30pm

The UMW also host annual and seasonal events like an All-Church Picnic, community forums on issues of social justice, a spiritual growth retreat, and an annual Christmas breakfast.

Interested in getting connected?  Want a little more info?  Contact our UMW President, Kara Colling.

Our UMW also has a craft group called the Artisans that meets weekly for crafting and connecting.  This group meets from 9:30am – 12:00pm in the Craft Room.  The team also throws a wonderful Craft Fair each fall to raise funds for a variety of UMW mission projects both nationally and internationally.  Whether you’re a master crafter or just getting into arts and crafts, this might be the place for you.

For more information or to get connected with the Artisans, contact Lead Artisan, Elaine Grieveas.
